Community volunteers extraordinaire, Bill Wiebalk and Will Ackley, will lead a honey harvest at the Sonoma Garden Park on Saturday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to observe or help extract honey, meet at the greenhouse promptly at 10:00 a.m. Dress comfortably for working in the greenhouse. There will be no contact with honeybees. Honey samples will be available for all to taste after 11:00 am in the barn.
For those wishing to help remove frames of honey from the hives, meet Bill and Will at the hives at 8:30 a.m. Wear long pants, a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, shoes, and socks. We will provide gloves and veils.
Our honey will be available for sale at our Saturday Harvest Markets beginning August 27.
