What exactly IS mindfulness and how can meditation help develop and nurture this quality to benefit ourselves and those around us? Joanne Martin Braun, PhD, is the Executive Director of Northern California Shambhala (a network of 10 meditation centers and groups around the bay and part of the Shambhala International organization), and has taught mindfulness programs in businesses and healthcare settings for 17 years.
