Sonoma Petaluma State Historic Park will host volunteer docent training classes starting March 3, running seven consecutive weeks through April 14. Docents explain exhibits and history to park visitors and also lead tours of the Mission, Sonoma Barracks, Toscano Hotel and General Vallejo's home. The first meeting will be in the Barracks while other training sites include park tours and special events. After training, a three hour a month commitment is required. For further information or to sign up for the docent training, call Jennifer Hanosn at 939-2149 or email jhanson@parks.ca.gov.
