The First Annual Sonoma Summer Bee Count

The Sonoma Ecology Center and Cittaslow Pollinator Pals are looking for volunteers interested in learning about and counting bees! On Saturday Entomologist Dr. Gordon Frankie and Lab Research Assistant Marissa Ponder, both from the Urban Bee Lab at UC Berkeley, will teach you how to catch, identify, and count bees. On Sunday apply your new wisdom as we count bees at three Sonoma locations. We will finish the weekend with a party for all your hard work. Nominal fee of $30 includes refreshments, and bee resource guide. Proceeds benefit continued bee education to the community. Saturday training is mandatory to attend Sunday bee count. Age 16 and over. Space is limited. Email Shelley Arrowsmith. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call (707) 935-3420 for reservations.
