
Dr. Pat Wolfe is a renowned expert in the field of brain research as it relates to educational practice. She is an award winning author of several books, including “Brain Matters: Translating Research in Classroom Practice”, and “Building the Reading Brain.” Over the past 25 years, has has conducted workshops for thousand of school administrators, teachers, boards of education, and parents throughout the United States, and in over 50 countries abroad. In addition to her ongoing research and publishing, Pat has worked directly in the classroom as a K-12 teacher and has been an adjunct professor in the field of education. In addition to her teaching experience, she has also served as Director of Curriculum at Napa County of Education. In this presentation she will address brain structure and function, and how the brain processes, stores, and retrieves information. This research has important implications for teaching and learning, and Dr. Wolfe will cover specific brain-friendly strategies parents can use to help their children enhance love of learning and maximize their potential.
