Fatality Reported In Hwy 121 Crash Near Napa, Sonoma County Line

A Sig-Alert was issued for the fatal crash, which was blocking eastbound lanes.

NORTH BAY, CA — A fatality has been reported in a crash Wednesday afternoon on state Highway 121 in unincorporated Sonoma County near the border with Napa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A white sedan and a large truck — and possibly a third vehicle — were involved in the collision reported at 2:52 p.m. on Highway 121 in the area of Napa Road, just west of Stornetta Dairy, CHP dispatchers reported.

A Sig-alert was issued at 3:18 p.m. for eastbound lanes of the highway, which were closed at Ramal Road. There was no estimate for when the roadway may reopen.

Traffic initially was being diverted onto Napa Road but there were reports Napa Road was possibly flooded from the rain, according to CHP dispatchers.
