Fire Erupts In Sonoma County Home
The fire was reported at about 1:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Carr Avenue.

SANTA ROSA, CA -- A one-story house fire caused about $250,000 in damage to the home and its contents Tuesday afternoon in Santa Rosa, fire officials said. The fire was reported at about 1:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Carr Avenue.
When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the living area, garage and attic.
Firefighters deployed hoses at the front door and worked their way through the home and into the garage as they extinguished the flames.

Fire officials said crews also climbed on the roof, cutting openings to release smoke and heat.
Crews searched the home for any people and found none. The fire was under control by about 2:20 p.m.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire is undetermined. The home's occupants arrived home after the fire was controlled. Firefighters found the occupant's dog safe in the backyard.
According to fire officials, another home on the property was undamaged.
