EF Educational Homestay Programs enables students from around the world to experience the American Dream first hand! Students aged 14-18 are coming to our community for a short-term summer stay of 3 & 1/2 weeks. Students attend language classes in the morning at Sonoma Academy and participate in organized educational activities and field trips in the afternoon. Host Families are welcomed to join us for activities! Students will be under the supervision of EF Program staff from 8am – 5:30pm, M-F. So if you work during the day, this program is very doable!
Whether it is showing off your favorite places in town, sharing family traditions, participating with your student in an EF activity, or learning about the student’s own culture back home, the EHP experience will be mutually rewarding! Volunteer host families are asked to provide a bed, meals, and transportation to and from the pickup/drop off location.

EF is the World Leader in International Education, and we have been helping students discover the world for nearly 50 years. Throughout your students stay, EF staff will be available any time you need us, day or night. Your support system includes a Site Director, a Program Leader based in your community, an accompanying leader from their country, as well as a Regional Manager. We know that having this team in place will ensure a positive experience for both our host families and our students.
