Gov’t Mule
Rock torchbearers Gov’t Mule are celebrating their 20th anniversary with an extensive tour and a series of dynamic live archival releases that highlight the group’s versatility and epic, fearless live performances. No two Gov’t Mule shows are alike, as the band draws on the more than 300 songs in their repertoire (and often a host of special guests) to create a unique experience each and every time. Their steadily expanding fan base knows that the Mule always has something special waiting for them.
The deep chemistry and steely confidence shared by the quartet allow them to tackle any form of music and stamp it their own while remaining true to the spirit and intent of the original. This can of course be heard any time guitarist-singer Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abts, bassist Jorgen Carlsson and multi-instrumentalist Danny Louis take the stage, but a series of new live archival releases really drives the point home.
Blackberry Smoke
Blackberry Smoke has evolved from rough-edged club act to arena-ready rock 'n' roll juggernauts, while steadily extending and expanding the Southern rock tradition. Since the group’s formation in 2000, the band has never shied away from hard work, playing more than 250 shows a year and building an ever-expanding audience on the strength of its live shows. In addition to winning fans and friends throughout the United States, they've toured Europe multiple times and performed for the first time ever in Australia in 2016 to sold-out crowds. Additionally, the band has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Conan and toured with and befriended idols such as The Marshall Tucker Band, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and George Jones.
A Flock of Seagulls
Grammy winning English new wave and synthpop band originally formed in Liverpool and founded by hairdressers Mike Score and Frank Maudsley, Score’s brother Ali, and Paul Reynolds. The group had a string of international hit singles including "I Ran (So Far Away)", "Space Age Love Song", "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)", and "The More You Live, the More You Love".
Berlin
This Los Angeles-based synth pop group, founded by bassist John Crawford, singer Terri Nunn, and keyboard player David Diamond, made its first national impression with the provocative single "Sex (I'm A...)" from the gold-selling debut EP Pleasure Victim in 1982. The band gained mainstream-commercial success in the early 1980s with singles including "The Metro", "No More Words" and then in the mid 1980s with the chart-topping single "Take My Breath Away" from the 1986 film Top Gun.
Wang Chung
Wang Chung came out of the post-punk, New Wave scene in the UK going on to achieve global success selling millions of records. Throughout their 30 year career they have released 5 albums and 2 Greatest Hits compilations. They have had 6 US Top 40 hits including a number 1.
Tommy Tutone
Tommy Tutone is a power pop band, best known for its 1981 hit "867-5309/Jenny", which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although it is usually referred to as a San Francisco band, it was actually based in Willits, California, at the time that "Jenny" was released. The song became so popular that people in the United States to this day dial this telephone number and ask for Jenny as a prank.
The Cutting Crew
Is an English rock band formed in 1985. They are best remembered for their debut album Broadcast and hit singles, "(I Just) Died in Your Arms", "I've Been in Love Before", "One for the Mockingbird", and "Everything But My Pride".
Nu Shooz
Nu Shooz is an American Freestyle-R&B-Dance group fronted by husband-and-wife team of John Smith and Valerie Day, based in Portland, Oregon. They were nominated for a ‘Best New Artist’ Grammy in 1987 and earned a Gold record for the album ‘Poolside. Their signature hit “I Can’t Wait’ still plays somewhere on Earth every eleven minutes and has been recorded or sampled by everyone from Vanessa Williams (Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis’s “Happiness”), to the Mann and 50 Cent “Buzzin’ Remix.”
