Heroin, Cash Seized; 19-Year-Old Arrested: Santa Rosa Police
The arrest of a 19-year-old man was the result of an investigation of a heroin ring in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County, police said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A Santa Rosa Police Department Narcotic Team investigation that began in December of a possible heroin drug-trafficking ring in Santa Rosa and surrounding Sonoma County areas led to the arrest this week of a 19-year-old Santa Rosa man, police said Friday.
When detectives detained Marco Antonio Jimenez-Menera Thursday near his residence in the 3900 block of Montgomery Drive, he is accused of having nearly two pounds of suspected "red rock" heroin on his person, SRPD Sgt. Brian Boettger said.
"'Red rock' heroin has a distinctive appearance and is associated to heroin that is mixed/cut with the powerful and synthetic opioid Fentanyl," Boettger said in a news release.

In a subsequent search Thursday of Jimenez-Menera's apartment, Boettger said detectives found approximately $2,000 in cash and additional items indicative of drug trafficking.
"These items included packaging material, digital scales, and multiple functioning cell phones," Boettger said.
