High Schoolers: Last Chance for Driver's Ed, Grad Speeches and Raffle Tickets
When time runs out, it's gone. Don't miss these deadlines at Sonoma Valley High

The last Drivers Education Class of the year starts this week, Monday, April 16, and runs through Friday, May 25. If you want to take the behind-the-wheel portion over the summer, now is the time to do the class work! There is no cost, no age restriction, and the certificate does not expire. You receive 2.5 credits upon completion. Be in room K13 at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, and Mrs. Weissmann will enroll you. Last day to add this class is Wednesday, April 18.
Attention Juniors and Seniors – The Prom is Saturday, April 28, 7:00 – 11:00 p.m., at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. The theme is “The Year of the Dragon.” Tickets are on sale in Ms. Rivara’s room J9 during lunch and prices are now until April 20 $90. Be sure to bring your signed prom policy acknowledgement form with you when you are ready to purchase your tickets.

Attention prom attendees – Do you want to win a gift certificate for a pre-prom manicure, pedicure, or makeup and hair session? Come to J9 at lunch April 16-20 and buy a ticket to be entered into a raffle. Tickets are only $2. Last chance!

Seniors, it’s nearing graduation time and now is your last chance to say what you need to say to your class. If you are interested in making a speech at the Senior Send-Off Rally, prepare one now and audition on Thursday, April 19, at lunch in J9.

Stop by the Autism Awareness and Sensitivity booth by the Library, April 16-20, during lunch put on by Samatha Stephy and Katie Durkan for their Senior Project. Pick up an informational card and a puzzle piece ribbon to support the cause.
Sonoma High’s Gay Straight Alliance will be hosting the annual Day of Silence on Thursday, April 19, in honor of those who have been bullied because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Pick up a rainbow ribbon pledge card from the rotunda at lunch on Wednesday or Thursday, April 18-19, before school and during break.
