Jenner Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash Near Guerneville

52-year-old Jenner man died after his motorcycle struck a flatbed construction truck in unincorporated Sonoma County east of Guerneville.

GUERNEVILLE - A 52-year-old Jenner man died after his motorcycle struck a flatbed construction truck in unincorporated Sonoma County east of Guerneville Wednesday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The truck driver was turning left from eastbound River Road near Odd Fellows Park Road into a driveway around 9:50 a.m., CHP Officer Juan Leon said.

The eastbound Yamaha Star motorcycle rider struck the middle left side of the flat bed as he passed traffic on the left that was slowing and stopping behind the truck, Leon said.

The motorcyclist suffered a head injury but was conscious and talking at the scene, Leon said.

He complained of chest pain and suffered internal injuries and died en route to or at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Leon said.

The Jenner man's next of kin had not yet been notified Wednesday afternoon, the Sonoma County coroner's office said.
