LEDSON WINERY CONTINUES TO THRIVE DURING 2015 AWARD SEASON
Sonoma Valley's Ledson Winery & Vineyards continues to be the critic's choice for gold medals in the 2015 award season.
Sonoma Valley’s Ledson Winery & Vineyards (www.ledson.com) continues to be the critic’s choice for gold medals in the 2015 award season.
At the esteemed Critic’s Challenge International Wine Competition the Ledson 2013 Russian River Valley Chardonnay Reserve ($48) won Best of Show White Wine, Best of Class, Best Chardonnay, Critics Platinum and 95 Points. The Ledson 2012 Sonoma Valley Mes Trois Amours ($46) received Critics Gold and 91 Points.
The Ledson 2011 Sonoma Valley Caudalies Reserve ($62) won a Gold Medal and Best of Class at the recent Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition.

Ledson wines are available at the winery in Kenwood, the Ledson Hotel and in the online stores, www.ledson.com. Steve’s father Noble Ledson used to tell him you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear. In other words you need impeccable grapes to make impeccable wines. 90% of Ledsons wines are made from vineyards they own and farm, and 10% from a chosen few growers the Ledson family has been close to for centuries. These wines include award-winning and critically acclaimed vineyard designate wines, unique blends and stand-out favorites like reserve chardonnays, merlots and cabs. 95% of the wines are from estate vineyards, each varietal is grown where the soil and climate are best suited for that varietal.
