Locked, Abandoned Safe Found in North Bay Field

NORTH BAY, CA -- Police are looking for the rightful owner of a damaged, abandoned combination safe that was found in a field at the end of Willowbrook Court, off North McDowell Boulevard, in Petaluma.

Just after 10 am on Wednesday, Jan. 4, Petaluma Police responded to the end of Willowbrook Court, where a city worker had discovered the abandoned black, Sentry-brand safe in a field. The top of the safe had been pried open, but no word on if any of the contents had been removed.

Photos of the discovered box been seen above. Police are asking anyone who may recognize the safe, or recently was the victim of a burglary or theft involving a Sentry safe, to call Petaluma Officer Rob Hawkins at (707) 778-4372.
