Man Assaulted At Park In Sonoma; Suspect In Attack Caught: Police
The victim was treated at Sonoma Valley Hospital for "multiple facial injuries, hand injuries and contusions," police said.

SONOMA, CA — Sonoma police on Monday tracked down and arrested a man on suspicion of physically assaulting another man at Depot Park. Sonoma police said in a news release that at around 1 p.m. Monday, the victim called 911 and said he'd just been attacked, was bleeding and needed an ambulance.
The victim named his alleged attacker as "Seamus," saying Seamus had punched and kicked him, police said.
Officers responded to the park and were told by the victim that Seamus was last seen walking toward Sonoma Plaza. The victim also provided a physical description of the suspect and the type of clothing he was wearing, police said.

While the victim received emergency medical treatment from Sonoma Valley paramedics, officers started canvassing the area for the suspect.
Soon, one of the officers saw someone walking through the Safeway parking lot who matched the suspect description, police said.

When the officer called the suspect by name, he "immediately ran, cutting through traffic across West Napa Street, and into the parking lot of the Sonoma Market," police said.
Officers converged on the area but momentarily lost sight of the suspect.
Within minutes, however, officers again spotted the suspect — identified as Seamus Richard Glennon, 40, of Sonoma — and he ultimately surrendered in the area of W. Napa Street and 5th Street West, police said.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Sonoma Valley Hospital, where he was treated for "multiple facial injuries, hand injuries and contusions," police said.
Glennon was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting/obstructing/delaying and officer, police said.
Jail records Monday evening showed Glennon was being held in lieu of $30,000 bail pending a court appearance on Thursday.
The victim has since been released from the hospital, according to police.
