BREAKING: Paramedic hiked a mile to reach the injured cyclist. Video shows awesome work by Henry-1 helicopter crew!!

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office helicopter rescued a woman who suffered leg injuries while bicycling in Trione-Annadel State Park in Santa Rosa Thursday night.

The 46-year-old Santa Rosa woman crashed her mountain bike on a trail around 7:30 p.m. Friends that were with her called for help, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

"This was a particularly difficult mission given the time of night, the lack of light and the rugged terrain," the agency said. "The Henry-1 crew practices for these types of rescues and last night their training came in very useful."

Tactical Flight Officer Henri Boustany was lowered to the ground to the victim and paramedics secured her and Ricci to the rope, Crum said.
