No Parole For Man Who Rappelled To Steal Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Before Shooting A Love Interest As A Teen
He had been granted parole before he was found to have a contraband cell phone in prison.
The state board of parole has rescinded a proposed release date for Max Wade, the Marin man convicted of attempted murder who stole celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini as a teenager.
Wade was 16 in 2011 when he rappelled into a San Francisco car dealership and made off with Fieri's $200,000 Lamborghini.
He was later convicted of the 2012 shooting of an 18-year-old from his motorcycle in Mill Valley. The victim was with another teenager Wade had been unsuccessfully courting.
Wade had been granted parole in July 2024 with an earliest possible release date in December 2028.
But at a hearing on Tuesday, the Board of Parole Hearings rescinded the parole grant because Wade was found in possession of a cellphone in prison, which is contraband, according to the Marin County District Attorney's Office.

Wade has been held at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center since he was sentenced to 20 years to life by a jury in 2013. He's eligible for a parole hearing in January, according to prosecutors.
