On the Track at Sonoma Raceway

What's it like to drive at speeds in excess of 120 mph around the Sonoma Raceway track - in a Porsche?

Several times a year race-car drivers converge on the 2.52-mile course at Sears Point to witness the roaring thrills of NASCAR racing and other events - like the Classic Sports Racing Group last weekend.

The thrills are not only for the crowds, of course, but for the drivers as well. Check out this four-camera coverage of a 2002 Porsche GT2 take a few spins around the course at speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour. The cameras are from Contour, makers of "action video" cameras, where this clip was found.

There are events most of the year round at Sonoma Raceway, which can be found on their website. Next big race is the Ferrari Challenge, Apr. 26-28, though Sonoma Drift has events every Wednesday night.
