Pets Lifeline Raffle "Held Over" for Music Festival Weekend

Friday's Tailwags & Handbags lunch is sold out, but the pets' support organization will keep selling raffle tickets at this weekend's Sonoma Music Festival, where the winners will be announced.

If you were planning on making the big score at this weekend’s Tailwags and Handbags Raffle – say a mixed case of wine, a magical massage package, or even just dinner at a Glen Ellen restaurant – you’d better have your seat already to the Tailwags and Handbags lunch on Friday, at General’s Daughter.

That lunch is sold out. Instead, you chances will only improve if you pick up some of the remaining tickets for this weekend’s Sonoma Music Festival, which are still available at $25 each.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the music events, also for $25.

“We’ve decided to make it not just a Tailwags raffle, but a Pet’s Lifeline raffle,” said Nancy King, director of Pet’s Lifeline. “You can buy raffle tickets up through the music festival, and we’ll announce the winners at the Sunday night show.”

Saturday’s show includes Sean Cascadden (Acoustic Blues/Electric Blues), Pine Needles (Bluegrass) and theTommy Thomsen All Star Band (Western Swing/Rockabillly).

Sunday’s concert features Frobeck (Funk/Jazz), Big Brother and the Holding Company (60's Blues/Rock), and the Creation Band (Reggae).

The raffle prizes are in three categories – the Glen Ellen Wine Extravaganza prizes, totalling $1000 in value and including a mixed case of wine, a case of Napa Champagne, library wine and cheese tastings, and more.

The 2nd prize, the Glen Ellen Magical Massage Package, values $350 and includes an hour and a half massage for couples with all the trimmings, a dozen chocolate truffles, wine country chocolates and a bottle of French Champagne.

Even third prize is a pretty nice little package: meal vouchers totaling $350 at the Fig Café, Olive & Vine, Glen Ellen Star, Yeti, Glen Ellen Inn and even the Glen Ellen Market. Winners won’t go hungry.
