Russian River in Sonoma County Expected to Flood: National Weather Service

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- If you or work in the lower Russian River near Guerneville, you may want to consider getting to higher ground and/or getting prepared, because the river's expected to flood.

On Feb. 7, the National Weather Service issued a prediction that the Russian River will be above flood stage after 2 am on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The river's expected to be between 34-35 feet, which is about two feet above flood stage, and is considered minor flooding.
