Santa Rosa House Fire Damage Estimated At $50,000
A fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to a home in Santa Rosa on Wednesday evening, fire officials said.

SANTA ROSA - A fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to a home in Santa Rosa on Wednesday evening, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported at 7:36 p.m. at a home at 2476 Creek Meadow Drive.
Fire crews arrived and found smoke coming from attic vents and the chimney, then went into the home and found fire burning in a wall and the attic, according to fire officials.

To extinguish the fire, crews used hoses and also cut ventilation holes in the roof to release superheated gases.
Fire officials believe the fire started outside of the home and extended inside through the attic vents.

No information about a possible cause was immediately available from the fire department.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which remains under investigation.
