Santa Rosa Police, City Employees To Get Raises Totaling $4.2M Under Tentative Agreements

Breaking: Santa Rosa City Council will hold a final vote on the agreements expected to increase the 2017-2018 city budget by $4.2 million

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- The Santa Rosa City Council on Tuesday tentatively approved pay raises for 10 employee bargaining units that include police officers, managers, mechanics, maintenance and transit workers. The agreement, if approved next week, is for three years for most of the employees and two years for police officers.

Most employees will get a 3-percent raise in the first two years and 2.5 percent in the third. The agreement also includes a city contribution to retiree health and a short-term disability benefit.

Police officers will receive 3.5-percent raises in both years of their new contract, a one-time payment of $1,000 per employee on the first pay period of July 2018 and a 2.4-percent shift differential pay for
DUI/accident investigators.
