'Sexual Predator' Sought In Santa Rosa: Police

Santa Rosa police are hoping the public can help identify this sexual assault suspect; a reward of up to $5,000 is offered.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Police in Santa Rosa asked for the public's help Tuesday to identify an alleged sexual predator in the city. According to police, officers responded at 10:50 pm. Sunday to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Jennings Avenue regarding a report of a possible sexual assault. Officers were told by a 27-year-old woman that she was assaulted in the parking lot when an unknown suspect ran up to her and pushed her down to the ground, police said.

The suspect reportedly shoved his hand up the victim’s dress and touched her in a sexual manner, but ran off when she screamed out in fear.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was medically evaluated, and detectives the next day began talking with neighbors and obtaining surveillance video from the area, police said.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-10-inch Hispanic man who appeared to be between 25 and 35 years old and 180 pounds with black or brown hair.

A reward up to $5,000 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance “Take Back Our Community Program" for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in the incident.
