Sonoma City Fees Changing Sept. 1

Permit applicants can avoid updated fees by submitting applications before the new schedule takes effect.

SONOMA VALLEY, CA — Sonoma will change fees for a variety of city services, permits, and applications starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, creating a deadline for applicants who want to pay under the current fee schedule.

The city will base permit and application fees on the fee schedule in effect on the date an applicant submits an application.

Applications submitted before Sept. 1 will remain subject to the current fee schedule, while applications submitted after Sept. 1 will fall under the updated schedule.

The city encouraged community members preparing to submit Building, Planning, or other city permits and applications to review the updated fees and plan accordingly.

Sonoma’s online Permit Center will be unavailable Tuesday, Sept. 1, while the city implements the new fee schedule.
