Sonoma Co. Girl In Critical Condition After Morning Traffic Wreck Between Pickup, SUV
BREAKING: The 14-year-old was flown to Children's Hospital in Oakland. Her mother and the other driver suffered head injuries, police said.

PETALUMA, CA – A 14-year-old Petaluma girl suffered critical injuries in a vehicle collision in Petaluma this morning, a police sergeant said.
The girl was a passenger in a Lexus SUV driven by her mother, Petaluma police Sgt. Ron Klein said.
The Lexus and a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup collided at the intersection of Sonoma Mountain Parkway and Rainier Circle around 6:40 a.m., Klein said.

The Lexus was turning left from a stop sign at Rainier Circle to head south on Sonoma Mountain Parkway when it collided with the Dodge traveling north on Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Klein said.
The 59-year-old Lexus driver from Petaluma suffered a head injury and internal injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Her daughter suffered a head injury, fractured vertebrae and internal injuries, and she is in critical condition after being flown to Children's Hospital in Oakland, Klein said.
It's believed the girl was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, Klein said.
The Dodge driver, a 23-year-old man from Petaluma, suffered a suspected head injury and other unknown injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. He was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the collision, and both drivers gave blood samples as evidence, Klein said.
