SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A Bodega Bay man suspected of assaulting his girlfriend last month was arrested at a Mendocino County motel Thursday morning, a Sonoma County sheriff's sergeant said.

Sheriff's detectives learned Sean Cameron, 33, was possibly staying at a Fort Bragg motel and placed it under surveillance, Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Cameron was arrested around 11:45 a.m. at the motel in the 1200 block of South Main Street in Fort Bragg, Crum said. He was booked in the Mendocino County Jail on a $250,000 arrest warrant.
