Sonoma County Has $638K Powerball Winner!
The lucky duck purchased her winning ticket in Cloverdale.

A woman who purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth more than $638,000 at a Cloverdale convenience store last month has come forward to claim her prize.
Maria Torres won $638,146 after purchasing her ticket at a Quik Stop located at 601 N. Cloverdale Blvd., according to lottery officials.
Torres was able to match five of the six winning numbers in the Jan. 13 draw, which were 4, 8, 19, 27, and 34, missing only the Powerball number 10, lottery officials said.

The jackpot for the draw was a record-high $1.586 billion and was split by three winners nationwide.
Torres said she was surprised by the win, especially because she picked her numbers at random.

As for what she will do with her prize, Torres said she plans on paying off some debts and saving most of the money, lottery officials said.
