Speeding Mustang Driver Arrested After Crash In Sonoma County: Reports

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Marcus Burton of Healdsburg, slammed his car into a Land Rover SUV near Mendocino Avenue, per KRON.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The driver of a Ford Mustang who refused to yield to officers at a Rohnert Park traffic stop while traveling over 100 miles per hour on Highway 101 Sunday has been arrested following a crash that occurred soon after, according to multiple reports.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Marcus Burton of Healdsburg, slammed his car into a Land Rover SUV near Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, KRON reported.

Burton and his passenger, a 17-year-old boy, were both treated for only minor injuries, according to the outlet. Burton was then booked into Sonoma County Jail on felony charges of evading police, evading police causing injury, and child endangerment, according to KTVU.

A family of three who was in the Land Rover was also taken to the hospital for treatment as they said they were in pain following the crash, according to KRON.

The family was made up of two adults and a child, who were treated for mild to moderate injuries, KTVU reported.
