Swing-Dancing Flash Mob Breaks Out At Sonoma County Farmers' Market!

It was all part International Flash Mob 2016 day! See photos from Al Francis ...

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Photo show and stories courtesy of Al Francis:

It was a sunny morning today at the Luther Burbank Event center in Sonoma County with lots of visitors at the Farmers' Market. Then someone activates a portable music player, and -- suddenly -- the person standing next to you looking at peaches, turns and starts dancing with others! But wait -- they are doing a dance routine!

About 50 people broke into a choreographed dance to the delight of visitors and vendors -- and welcome to the "International FlashMob West Coast Swing," which happened worldwide today.

Sonoma County was well represented thanks to Edna Lucero and Dick Jensen, who are dance instructors with D&E Dance Co. and have been teaching dance lessons in Sonoma and Napa county for years.

Edna said that she and Dick have taught the swing dance routine for the past month, the same one being performed around the globe and spread via YouTube.

The group also surprised those at the Farmers' Market at the Veteran's Building in Santa Rosa. Then the group trekked on to the Charles M. Schultz Museum and Research Center, adjacent to the Snoopy Ice Arena in Santa Rosa.

Marianne Wolf-Hutton, one of the dancers, said it was fun, and the kids and adults loved it!
