City gets high marks for hospitality in prestigious traveler's poll.

The city of Sonoma was ranked the nation's ninth friendliest city in a prestigious traveler's poll.
Sonoma is the only California city that ranked among the Conde Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice Survey's top 10.
Four California cities ranked among the survey's top ten unfriendliest including two from Northern California: Oakland is ranked the second least friendly city to visit in the nation and Sacramento 10th.

Los Angeles and Anaheim are the sixth and ninth least friendly towns according to the poll.
Reviewers gushed over Sonoma's casual vibe, gorgeous scenery, world class vineyards and gourmet eats.

"Travelers searching for a 'down-to-earth alternative to Napa' should look no further than Sonoma, California," The publication said, citing some of the survey responses cited in the poll.
"Praised for its 'laid-back style and people' and 'amazing wines.' A 'fabulous destination for foodies,' visitors find Sonoma to be 'charming and picturesque' with a 'quaint, yet up to date' vibe. But above all, it’s known to be 'a wonderful place to unwind and just enjoy the day.' "
