• South El Monte Apartment Fire Leaves One Dead, Another Injured (mynewsla.com) — A deadly apartment fire in South El Monte killed a woman and injured a man Tuesday night on the 3000 block of North Lashbrook Avenue near Garvey Avenue. Firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze, rescued two residents, and even revived a dog with oxygen before animal control took it from the scene.
