ā¢ Construction begins Monday on long-term improvements at Van Sickle Bi-State Park (southtahoenow.com) ā Starting Monday, access to Van Sickle Bi-State Park from South Lake Tahoe will change significantly, with the main road closed past the California day-use area and Nevada-side trails shut through Fall 2027. Locals can still reach the park and Tahoe Rim Trail from the California side, but should expect limited parking and strictly enforced trail and construction closures.
