\Lynwood’s Public Works crews were busy last week making the streets safe for residents and students.

Crews placed new “Safe School Zone” signs at Will Rogers Elementary, Lugo Elementary, Abbott Elementary, Firebaugh High and Vista High schools.
Public Works crews also repaired damaged sidewalk curbs on the 3300 block of Tenaya Ave., repainted the faded red curbing at Wright Road and at Los Flores Blvd. and Harris Ave.

All this work is in addition to cleaning illegally dumped items and debris from 10 City alleys on the regular rotation, preventing weeds in 15 alleys, and repairing 80 potholes and preparing for City events such as the Veterans’ Day Event and the Job and Resource Fair.
