City Of South Gate: Construction Notice-Garfield Ave

The City has awarded a construction contract to Sequel Contractors to make street improvements to Garfield Avenue, Imperial Highway and Firestone Boulevard, at Otis Street. This notice is to inform you that construction activities are scheduled to begin on Garfield Avenue on January 4, 2021, and be completed Spring of 2021.Construction activities will take place between 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

The proposed improvements include pavement rehabilitation, concrete repairs, street furniture, lighting and landscaping. These improvements are necessary to rehabilitate and beautify Garfield Avenue from Jefferson Avenue to Howery Street.

La Ciudad ha otorgado un contrato de construcción a Sequel para realizar mejoras en las calles de Avenida Garfield, Imperial Highway y Firestone Boulevard, en Otis Street. La construcción en la Avenida Garfield está programada para comenzar el 4 de enero de 2021 y completarse en la primavera de 2021. El horario de construcción se llevará a cabo de lunes a viernes, entre las 8:00 a.m. y las 4:30 p.m.

Las mejoras incluyen la rehabilitación del pavimento, las reparaciones de concreto, mobiliario urbano, iluminación y ajardinar la medianas. Estas mejoras son necesarias para rehabilitar y embellecer Avenida Garfield desde Avenida Jefferson hasta Calle Howery.
