L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan, will celebrate the holidays
by hosting a Healthy Holidays Fair at Plaza Mexico,
home to one of its Family Resource Centers since 2007.
The fair will focus on providing information to the community and enrolling individuals in L.A. Care Covered™, its Covered California Qualified Health Plan for all of L.A. County.
The
free, family-friendly event will feature music, balloon artists, face painting, pictures with Santa Claus, and the Los Angeles Galaxy mascot and Futboleros.
In addition, L.A. Care representatives and community-based organizations will provide community members with information about additional health and wellness resources.
In order to enroll in L.A. Care Covered™ at the Healthy Holidays Fair, call 855-222-4239 to make an appointment or bring the following information and documents:
- Birth
date for individual coverage, and/or the birth dates of each family member
needing coverage - A Social Security number for each person to be enrolled
- Current
home ZIP code - Most
recent income tax returns, including dependent tax information and head-of-household
status (if any) - Proof of
citizenship or residency
