Lynwood: Your Alley Was Cleaned

Reminder: Yard Sale Weekend will return to Lynwood on August 7-8.

July 21, 2021

Last week, Lynwood Public Works crews cleaned 12 alleys (94 miles) as part of the 10-to-14-day rotation of alley clean-up to ensure the City’s alleys are cleaned on a regular basis. Crews picked up items that included a full-sized basketball stand, E-waste, furniture and appliances, bags of clothing, personally used hygiene products and much more. Here are the alleys that were cleared of illegally dumped items and debris:

Reminder: Yard Sale Weekend will return to Lynwood on August 7-8. This is a great way to get rid of your old items, make some money and help save the environment. You must get a permit ($10 for residents and free for seniors). For more information the Lynwood yard sales, visit: http://lynwood.ca.us/galleries/yard-sales-return-to-lynwood/

If you have bulky items that you don’t need anymore, don’t dump it illegally – you could get invoiced for the cost of clean-up. Instead, call for a pick-up of bulky items at: (888) 467-7600. You can also sell your items during the August yard sale weekend, donate the items to charities such as Goodwill or Salvation Army or dispose of the items properly at the nearest landfill (list at http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/eh/business/landfill-facilities.htm).

Let’s work together to keep Lynwood clean!
