Man Arrested After Making Threats During 'The Dark Knight Rises' Showing in Norwalk

No weapons were found on the suspect or at his home.

NORWALK (CNS) - A 52-year-old man with a backpack on his knees and yelling about guns and Colorado -- an apparent reference to the massacre inside a Colorado theater -- was arrested by Norwalk Sheriff's deputies at an AMC Norwalk 20 Theater where ``The Dark Knight Rises'' was showing.

Clark Tabor was arrested for making criminal threats. He was held at Men's Central Jail on $50,000 bail, plus unrelated warrants. He is due in Bellflower Court tomorrow.

``Tabor allegedly held his cell phone in the air and yelled, `Does anyone have a gun?' and `I should go off like in Colorado,' '' authorities said.

No guns were found during a search of Tabor and his residence.

Deputies were called to the theater yesterday at 5:15 p.m. by a witness who was nervous Tabor was about to take a gun out of his backpack and begin firing.

``A witness saw and heard strange activity and reported it immediately,'' said Norwalk Sheriff's Station Capt. Pat Maxwell.

``This is exactly the kind of help law enforcement needs to help protect the public,'' he said. ``If You See Something, Say Something. The greatest deterrent to crime is often a phone call to law enforcement by a person who sees something that just doesn't look right.''
