Man Who Dived From Traffic Sign Dies From Injuries
The South Gate Police Department was informed of the man's death.

The afternoon, has been pronounced dead, according to police.
“He died because of his injuries,” said Lieutenant Frank “Pico” Rivera of the t. “His family has been notified.”

The police ruled the man’s death as a suicide, and was on scene, along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, trying to convince him to not jump. Witnesses to the fall say that the man fell head first into the pavement.
“The hospital told us that the subject was brain dead,” said Lt. Rivera. “He was unplugged from a life support machine.”

The announcement of the man’s death was made today, but the death certificate lists May 16th as the date of his passing, concluded Lt. Rivera.
