Motorist in Car Accident Dies At St. Francis
The 27-year-old died from injuries sustained in a wreck on the transition road from the 605 freeway to the 105 freeway.

A 27-year-old Guatemalan has died from injuries sustained in a wreck on the transition road from the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
Los Angeles County firefighters found the driver trapped in the wreckage of his Honda Civic and spent about 30 minutes freeing the him with a hydraulic ``jaws of life'' tool, before airlifting the victim to Saint Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, said county fire dispatcher Ed Pickett.
He died later at the hospital, said CHP Officer Monica Posada. A time of death was not immediately known.

The motorist's name has been withheld, pending notification of next of kin from the Coroner's Office.
CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said another vehicle, a 2006 Acura MDX, may have also been involved, but no other injuries were reported.
