Police Arrest Four in Connection To Scooter Theft

The last suspect was apprehended inside the local Rockview Farms depot.

This past Thursday, at approximately 3:00 p.m., The (SGPD) nabbed 4 suspects they allegedly stole a kick scooter behind at the El Paseo shopping center. The owner of the scooter was able to identify the accused perpetrators to police who later spotted them on the Los Angeles riverbed.

“Three of the suspects were caught immediately,” said Lieutenant Frank “Pico” Rivera of the SGPD.  “The fourth one ran into Rockview Farms premise on the east side of the riverbed.”

The police set up a perimeter around the Rockview Farms truck depot while the employees were told to exit for their safety. Officers were sent in along with a canine unit to apprehend the last suspect.

“We found the suspect and took him into custody,” affirmed Lt. Rivera, adding that the arrest was made at around 5:00 p.m.

The suspects, who have been described as "gangsters," are currently being held by the SGPD, and are said to be from Bell Gardens. No weapons were found on the aprehended subjects, and the scooter that they allegedly stole was returned to the victim.
