Child Annoyance Suspect Spotted in South Gate

The suspect is described as Hispanic and in his fifties.

Last Monday, at approximately 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Southern Avenue and San Juan Avenue, a man reportedly harassed a 13-year-old girl from his car. 

The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) has said that the teenage girl was walking on the sidewalk when a white GMC SUV with tinted windows pulled slowly next to her. The driver then asked the girl to get inside his car and threatened her when she refused.

“Get in the car!  I’m coming back tomorrow and I’m going to find you!  I already know where you are at!” said the alleged suspect to the girl as she ran quickly to her house.  

The SGPD has described the suspect as Hispanic, in his fifties, and has a mustache with a goatee like beard. He is also said to have brown hair and eyes.
