Power Outage Reported in Certain South Gate Areas

City Officials believe that the power outage began this morning.

The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) has issued a press release warning about an unplanned outage that started at approximately 10:35 a.m. The outage is believed to have affected the power service within the areas of Tweedy, Otis, Atlantic and Firestone.

“Please use caution when approaching intersections with no power to the signals,” said the SGPD press release. “Those intersections should be treated as a four-way stop.”
