South Gate Resident Charged in Iowa Double Homicide

Jack Wendell Pursel, 66, from South Gate California has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Robie and Goldie Huntbach in Waterloo, Iowa. The crime, which took place in 1981, was investigated but no arrests were made, according to a statement by The Waterloo Police Department.

On Tuesday May 8^th 2012, Pursel arrived to the Waterloo Polce Station and confessed to having perpetrated the killing of the Huntbach’s.  Stating that he planned on robbing the couple and then killing them.

“Pursel gave Police Investigators details of what happened that only a person involved with the crime would have known,” said the press release.
