At approximately 3: 50 p.m. a South Gate Police officer attempted to pull over a car on Tweedy Boulevard and Otis Street after noticing that the lights on the vehicle were not securely attached.  The suspects did not stop and jumped out of the car. " The vehicle was still in motion and crashed into a parked car," said a spokesperson for the South Gate Police Department. The officer was able to apprehend the driver after a short pursuit on foot. Upon verifying the information on the car it was found that it was stolen earlier that morning from Lakewood.
