South Gate Police Arrest Two in Connection with Stolen Car
Local police reports that an officer randomly verified the vehicle's license plate and found the stolen car.

At approximately 10:33 p.m. a stolen vehicle was spotted at the 2600 block of Indiana Avenue. The pickup trick was found parking enforcement officer of the South Gate Police Department (SGPD) was on patrol checking license plates at random.
“He ran the plate and it was reported stolen by [Los Angeles County Sheriff’ Department] century station,” said Sergeant Ignacio “Nacho’ Patiño of the SGPD. “Officers in the area responded and the vehicle was observed.”

Two subjects were seen entering the 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck and were arrested around five minutes afterwards near the intersection of Truba Avenue and Tweedy Boulevard.
The officers arrested the 27-year-old male driver and a 22-year-old female passenger on suspicion of grand theft auto. The SGPD has yet to release the names of the suspects, but both are being held at the South Gate Police Station.
