Suspects Arrested in Botched Hollydale Burglary
The police caught two men as they attempted to flee.

At approximately 4:22 p.m. the South Gate Police Department received a call from a resident who had intercepted two burglars upon arriving at his home at 6000 block on Main street in Hollydale. The suspects attempted to escape upon being noticed.
“The suspects fled out the rear window when [the victim] called us,” said Lieutenant David Pixler of the South Gate Police Department. “Witnesses told us in what direction they ran in.”

The police arrived on scene approximately 3 minutes upon receiving the call and set up a perimeter to apprehend the suspects. The first suspect, Robert Jackson, 18, from Hemet, California was nabbed within 25 minutes of police arriving. The second suspect, whose identity was withheld by the police because he is a juvenile, was apprehended 10 minutes after Jackson.
“We located [Jackson] in a backyard on Mcclure Street in the city of Paramount,” said Lt. Pixler. “The second we got in a vehicle.”

The juvenile suspect, age 17, tried to get away using a car, but was caught near the intersection of Paramount Avenue and Howery Street. The police said that the suspects did not have any stolen items upon being arrested.
“They were not able to get anything, because they were interrupted by the resident," said Lt. Pixler.
