Suspects Nabbed in Botched Burglary Face Charges

The suspects were apprehended last week.

by the South Gate Police Department after being spotted using a ladder to burglarize a residence at 10207 Walnut Avenue are all facing charges.

“The suspects were arrested, the stolen property recovered and the Los Angeles District Attorneys office has filed charges of burglary against all four individuals,” said the SGPD in a statement.

Two of the accused burglars were adults and another two were male juveniles.  The adults were identified as Leonard Clark, 18, and Travion Killum, 18, while the juveniles have only been identified as two 17 year olds.

The SGPD stated that eyewitnesses were crucial to helping them nab the four burglars. Citing an anonymous eyewitness in their press release as crucial.

“This eyewitness helped South Gate Police officers apprehend four burglars that had committed two separate residential burglaries,” said the press release. “[The burglaries] may otherwise have gone unsolved.”

The police further added that witness testimony was also crucial in the gathering of enough evidence to prosecute the suspects in court.
