LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An 18-year-old reckless-driving suspect being chased by Huntington Park police was hospitalized in critical condition today after he crashed the car he was driving into two parked cars in South Gate, authorities said.

The driver was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was in critical condition, Ault said, adding that no one else was injured.
The chase, which lasted less than two minutes, began in the area of and Randolph streets in Huntington Park when an officer tried to pull the suspect over for driving recklessly, he said.
“He is not under arrest at this time, but he potentially faces charges of evasion with wanton disregard for public safety and reckless driving,” Ault said before dawn.
