Teenager Killed By Drunk Driver On 105 Freeway
The 19-year-old who stopped on the freeway early this morning due to car problems, was struck by an alleged drunk driver and pronounced dead at Saint Francis Medical Center.

A man was killed this morning when his disabled car was struck by a car driven by a suspected drunken motorist on the eastbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in South Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident just east of the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway was reported at 12:14 a.m., said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
Christopher Rivera, 19, of Los Angeles died at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Mark A. Urbina, 22, of Lynwood, suffered minor injuries, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, the CHP reported.
Urbina also may also face a charge of gross vehicle manslaughter while intoxicated, according to the CHP.

According to the preliminary investigation, Rivera was driving a 2007 Honda Civic that broke down, and he stopped in the gore point where the northbound 110 Freeway merges with the eastbound 105 Freeway, the CHP reported.
Urbina was driving east on the 105 Freeway in a 2006 Nissan Sentra, which struck the Honda and burst into flames, the CHP reported.
Urbina got out of his car before it caught fire, according to the CHP.
Los Angeles County firefighters extinguished the Nissan fire and extricated the unconscious man from the Honda, transporting him to the hospital, where he died, the CHP reported.
The eastbound 105 Freeway was shut down for about 45 minutes as a result of the accident.
