Waste Management Reminds Huntington Park and South Gate Customers of Memorial Day Service Delay Schedule, Placement of Carts After Holiday
Waste Management’s trash and recycling pick-up schedule in the cities of South Gate and Huntington Park will be delayed by one day throughout the week of May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. In addition, all Waste Management operations will be closed on Monday, May 26, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday, May 27.
Huntington Park and South Gate customer are asked to place their carts out for pick-up one day later than usual, beginning Tuesday, May 27 through Saturday, May 31.
“We appreciate our customers’ cooperation with the holiday schedule so that our dedicated employees can spend time honoring our nation’s fallen heroes with their families,” said Janine Hamner, municipal and community affairs manager for Waste Management.

As a kind reminder, customers are asked to properly place their carts out for service by 6am on the day after their normal service day. Please remember to place the carts against the curb with the handles facing your home. It’s especially important to place carts at least two feet apart from other carts and parked cars or other objects to ensure that they can be safely serviced.
